How to unlink a console and re-link or link a different console to your Epic account:
Linking your Fortnite / Epic Games account to PSN
Please make sure to follow the instructions step by step, to ensure accuracy of the process.
(Note: If you will be using a freshly created PSN account on which Fortnite game was never opened/played, you can skip to step 4.)
Unlinking your old Fortnite account from PSN:
1. Your PSN account should not be linked to any Fortnite / Epic Games account. If you ever opened Fortnite game on your PlayStation / PSN account, a default Epic Games account was created for your PSN automatically.
It will have to be unlinked first, before you can link your newly purchased Fortnite account.
(Note: If you are playing Fortnite on PS but have never registered fully through Epic Games, you will need to do that first before you will be able to unlink that same account from your PSN).
2. To unlink your old Fortnite account from your PSN, please login to Epic Games website via your internet browser (mobile phone or PC) with your Fortnite credentials. Navigate to settings by pressing on "Account" option in the dropdown menu. Open "Apps and Accounts Section".
Under PlayStation Network, "Remove" button will be visible. Press on it to unlink from PSN.
Do not close your browser yet.
3. Some accounts require a second step to fully remove the connection between your PSN and Fortnite accounts. This step is called Restriction Removal.
To check if your old Fortnite account has any restrictions, while still logged in to Epic Games website, follow this link: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/wizards/w4
If there are any restrictions, you will be able to select PSN option again for further restriction removal.
If there are no restrictions, you can sign out of your old Fortnite account to proceed with linking your newly purchased Fortnite account.
Linking newly purchased Fortnite account to your PSN:
4. Login to Epic Games website with Epic Games account credentials provided by the seller.
(If in need of a login/2FA code, check the provided credentials for email inbox and open the email inbox to get the code.)
5. Navigate to settings by pressing on "Account" option in the dropdown menu. Open "Apps and Accounts Section".
Under PlayStation Network, "Connect" button will be visible. Press on it, and it will prompt you once more to Connect your Fortnite account with a PSN account. Choose to connect and it will open a pop-up window asking for Sony / PSN credentials.
(Note: If you receive any error message regarding the account already being connected, repeat the process from steps 2. and 3. to ensure that your newly purchased Fortnite account is also fully unlinked from any previous connections.)
6. Enter your PSN credentials to complete the linking process.
7. Open the game on your PlayStation, it should now be successfully linked.
Safety Precautions
Never contact Epic Games support in any way.
